Dental Crowns

We often recommend dental crowns for teeth that have been treated in the past, like those with large fillings or root canals. Dental crowns can also be anchored to dental implants to replace single missing teeth, eliminating the need for extensive preparation of natural teeth, like what will be required with a traditional bridge. We can craft these restorations from a variety of different materials, including gold, porcelain-fused-to-metal, ceramic, zirconia, and all-porcelain.

Ceramic Inlays & Onlays

Due to our prosthodontists’ extensive research on the longevity of ceramic restorations, we highly recommend ceramic inlays and onlays to restore damage caused by decay. Not only is this treatment method minimally invasive, but it also yields ideal, long-lasting results as opposed to more common tooth-colored fillings. Once the affected tooth has been cleaned and sanitized, our team will secure the restoration in place, sealing the vulnerable inner chamber from threatening oral bacteria.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

Tooth-colored fillings are often recommended to treat damage caused by cavities. They’re made from a biocompatible material called composite resin, which can fuse with the natural tooth enamel to create a tight seal. The resin also comes in a variety of tooth-colored shades, allowing us to customize its color to be virtually indistinguishable from your natural tooth. Although these don’t last as long as ceramic inlays and onlays, they do provide suitable protection for an average of five to seven years.
